Mt. Tamalpais
State Park
Our Rangers
The Marin District park staff offers first-rate customer service to the public with the assistance of MTIA and many dedicated volunteers. The District would like to take this opportunity to introduce its Visitor Services staff:

Ranger Tom Frazier is the lead ranger for resource maintenance, volunteer trail crews, and is the volunteer coordinator for Mt. Tamalpais State Park.  He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from UC Santa Cruz and also has over two years experience at New Brighton State Beach, Seacliff State Beach and Big Basin State Park.

Ranger Glenn Ryburn has been a ranger at Mt. Tamalpais for over 8 years; he worked at China Camp State Park for over 10 years prior to responding to the call of the mountain. Glenn has a wealth of experience as a State Park Ranger and we can all thank him for the great trail signs on the mountain, an update and upgrade that has been in process for the past 8 years. Glenn is the lead administrative Ranger and is currently working on a grant that will enhance the Matt Davis Trail.

Interpretive Specialist Samantha "Sam" Toffoli has been with State Parks for nine years. She coordinates Marin District's education programs and manages the District's many dedicated volunteers.

The Maintenance Crew consists of Matthew Hill and Lucio Gonzalez.
